Viewing Photos & Videos
Access and download photos and videos shared by your child's teachers. Capture and keep these special moments from their day.

1. Where to Find Photos
Photos and videos can be found in several places throughout KidsDaily:
Go to Notes in the sidebar to see photos attached to teacher observations and notes.
Find photos documenting developmental progress in the Progress section.
Some photos may be included directly in daily activity reports.
2. Viewing the Gallery
When viewing notes or progress entries with photos:
- Click or tap on any photo thumbnail to open it full-size
- Swipe left or right to navigate between photos (on mobile)
- Use arrow keys to navigate (on desktop)
- Click outside the photo or press Escape to close
Each photo shows the date it was taken and any caption the teacher added.
3. Downloading Photos
Save photos to your device to keep them forever:
On the Mobile App
- Open the photo you want to save
- Tap the Download or Save button
- The photo will be saved to your camera roll
On the Web Portal
- Open the photo in full-size view
- Look for the download icon ()
- Click to download to your computer
Tip: Photos are stored at high quality. Downloads are the original resolution captured by the teacher's device.
4. Watching Videos
Videos appear alongside photos in the notes and progress sections:
Tap or click on a video to start playback. Videos have a play button overlay.
Use the playback bar to pause, skip, adjust volume, or enter fullscreen.
Videos can be downloaded the same way as photos using the download button.
Note: Video files can be large. If you're on a mobile data connection, consider waiting until you're on WiFi to download videos.
5. Privacy & Sharing
A few important things to know about photos in KidsDaily:
You only see photos that include your child. Other children's photos are not visible to you.
All photos are stored securely and only accessible to authorized family members.
Downloaded photos are for your personal use. Please respect other children's privacy if they appear in group photos.
