Managing Notification Settings
Customize which notifications you receive and how you receive them. Stay informed without being overwhelmed.

1. Accessing Notification Settings
To manage your notification preferences:
In the Mobile App
- Open the KidsDaily app
- Tap on your profile or the Settings icon
- Look for Notifications or Preferences
In the Web Portal
- Log in to the parent portal
- Go to Settings in the sidebar
- Find the notification preferences section
2. Notification Options
You can typically control notifications for these types of events:
Real-time notifications when your child arrives or leaves.
Notification when your child's daily report is ready.
Center-wide news and updates.
Upcoming events and RSVP requests.
Invoice and payment reminders.
3. Delivery Preferences
Choose how you want to receive each type of notification:
Instant alerts on your phone. Best for time-sensitive information.
Detailed notifications in your inbox. Good for information you want to reference later.
Text messages for urgent notifications.
Tip: You can enable multiple delivery methods for important notifications. For example, get both push and email for check-in alerts.
4. Device Settings
In addition to in-app settings, your device also controls notifications:
iPhone Settings
- Open Settings → Notifications
- Find and tap KidsDaily
- Enable Allow Notifications
- Choose your alert style (Banners, Alerts, etc.)
- Enable Lock Screen and Notification Center if desired
Android Settings
- Open Settings → Apps
- Find and tap KidsDaily
- Tap Notifications
- Enable notifications and customize categories
5. Recommended Settings
Here are our recommendations for staying informed without notification overload:
These are time-sensitive - use instant delivery methods.
Get notified when ready, plus have an email copy to refer back to.
Important but not urgent - email keeps your inbox organized.
Keep billing notifications in email for your records.
Multiple Guardians: If both parents want notifications, each person can customize their own settings in their individual accounts.
