Messaging Teachers

Stay connected with your child's teachers through KidsDaily. Learn how to communicate effectively with the center staff.

1. Communication Options

There are several ways to communicate with your childcare center:

Through the Portal

Some centers enable direct messaging through KidsDaily. Check if this feature is available at your center.

Email

Contact the center directly at the email address provided in their profile.

In Person

Drop-off and pickup times are great opportunities for quick conversations.

Phone

Call the center directly for urgent matters.

2. When to Contact Teachers

Good reasons to reach out to your child's teachers:

Schedule Changes

Late arrivals, early pickups, or absences.

Health Updates

If your child isn't feeling well or has special needs for the day.

Pickup Authorization

If someone different will be picking up your child.

Questions About Your Child

Behavior, development, or classroom activities.

Supply Needs

Diapers, extra clothes, or other supplies running low.

3. Contacting the Center

To find your center's contact information:

  1. Log in to the parent portal
  2. Look for center information on the dashboard or settings
  3. You should find the center's phone number and email

Save the Number: Add your center's phone number to your contacts so you have it handy when you need it.

4. Expected Response Times

Understand that teachers are busy caring for children during the day:

During Care Hours

Teachers may not be able to respond immediately as they're focused on the children.

Non-Urgent Messages

Expect a response within 24 hours for non-urgent communications.

Urgent Matters

For urgent issues, always call the center directly.

Remember: If it's truly urgent (like an emergency pickup change), call rather than message. Teachers may not see messages until later.

5. Communication Tips

Make your communications clear and effective:

Be Specific

Include relevant details like dates, times, and your child's name.

Be Concise

Keep messages brief so they're easy to read and act on.

Be Respectful

Remember that teachers are dedicated professionals doing their best.

Follow Up Appropriately

If you don't hear back in a reasonable time, it's okay to follow up.
