Check-In/Out Alerts

Get real-time notifications when your child arrives at and leaves the center. Stay informed about your child's whereabouts throughout the day.

1. How Check-In Alerts Work

When a staff member checks your child in or out at the center, KidsDaily automatically sends you a notification:

Check-In Alert

Sent the moment your child is checked in at arrival.

Check-Out Alert

Sent when your child is checked out at pickup.

These notifications are sent in real-time, usually within seconds of the check-in or check-out being recorded.

2. What You'll See

Each check-in/out alert includes:

Child's Name

Clearly identifies which child (if you have multiple).

Time

The exact time of check-in or check-out.

Action Type

Whether it's a check-in (arrival) or check-out (departure).

Example notification: "Emma was checked in at Sunshine Daycare at 8:15 AM"

3. Enabling Alerts

To receive check-in/out alerts, make sure notifications are enabled:

Push Notifications (Mobile App)

  1. Open the KidsDaily app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Make sure push notifications are enabled
  4. Also check your phone's notification settings for the app

Email Notifications

Check-in alerts can also be sent via email if you prefer. Configure this in your notification preferences.

SMS Notifications

If your center has SMS enabled, you may be able to receive text message alerts for check-ins and check-outs.

4. Viewing Check-In History

You can view a complete history of your child's attendance:

  1. Go to Attendance in the portal
  2. View check-in and check-out times by date
  3. See who performed each check-in/out
  4. Review total hours for each day
Today's Status

The dashboard shows your child's current status: checked in, checked out, or not present.

5. Troubleshooting

If you're not receiving check-in alerts:

Check App Permissions

Make sure KidsDaily has permission to send notifications on your phone.

Check Do Not Disturb

If your phone is in Do Not Disturb mode, notifications may be silenced.

Update the App

Make sure you have the latest version of the KidsDaily app.

Check Internet Connection

Push notifications require an internet connection.
