Use the tabs at the top of the Messages page to switch between Email and SMS modes.
2. Creating an Email Campaign
To send an announcement via email:
- Go to Messages and select the Email tab
- Click New Campaign
- Select your recipient group (see next section)
- Enter a clear, descriptive subject line
- Write your message in the body field
- Preview your message to check formatting
- Click Send or schedule for later
Email Best Practices
Use descriptive subjects like "Center Closed Monday" rather than vague ones like "Update".
Keep messages brief and to the point. Parents are busy.
If parents need to do something, make it clear at the beginning.
3. Choosing Recipients
KidsDaily lets you target announcements to specific groups:
Send to every parent in your center.
Target parents of children in specific classrooms. Select the classrooms after choosing this option.
Send to all staff members.
Target staff assigned to specific classrooms.
Send to all parents and all staff.
Tip: For classroom-specific announcements (like a field trip for one class), use the Classroom Parents option to avoid sending irrelevant messages to other families.
4. SMS Announcements
SMS messages are ideal for urgent or time-sensitive communications.
When to Use SMS
- Emergency notifications
- Last-minute schedule changes
- Weather-related closures
- Urgent reminders
SMS Setup
SMS functionality requires configuration. Go to Settings → SMSto set up your SMS provider. Once configured, the SMS tab will become available in the Messages section.
Note: SMS messages may incur additional costs depending on your plan. Use them thoughtfully for important communications.
5. Tracking Delivery
After sending an announcement, you can track its delivery status:
How many messages were sent out.
Whether messages were successfully delivered.
View your campaign history in the Messages section to see past announcements and their delivery statistics.
